If you haven't already heard Mr.Clive Campbell better known to us as DJ Kool Herc is very ill and in need of an operation. He like many others of us in America is in need of medical insurance to cover his overloading medical bills. According to Herc's official website he's suffering from "kidney stones that caused him internal bleeding and serious pain."

Fact: If it wasn't for Kool Herc all of you who adore Hip Hop or have ever adored Hip Hop and it's culture, would have been  loving some other kind of music, because THIS is the man that started it all. You can't tell me you love Hip Hop and you don't know who this man is and what his contribution to Hip Hop was. IF you don't know you need to hit Google as soon as you finish reading here. The man needs help plain and simple. He needs the people who love Hip Hop to rise up and take care of their own. The Father of Hip Hop is in trouble..


Since he made a major contribution to the Hip Hop culture why can't contributions be made to HIM??? They don't even have to be major, just give what you can.

It's totally crazy to me how all these artists can band together and decide to give up Facebook and Twitter and pretend like their dead to raise money for aids research in Africa, yet right here at home one of their very own is dying and you don't see or hear anything about them using any slick marketing strategy to raise money for him. In spite of their effort which seems to be very little, a DJ Kool Herc Fund has been created to hopefully raise enough money to help the ol' Boi out. Ahhhhhhhh, FINALLY!!! I told ya'll in the other post where Busta was featured on this song that the ONLY one that could get with him in MY opinion was Twista! Well apparently I wasn't the only one who thought that because they shole ran and got Twista to come and bless this track and just as I said he would, that brotha HELD. IT. DOWN! LOL

Of course Chris and Wheezy kept their same verses, but I'd LOVE to hear Busta AND Twista on this track togeth!er, you would have been out of breath just listening to it. [New Artist] Etan - Go Time [Video]

New artist Etan comes at us with a new track called 'Go Time' from his soon to come album 'Go Time'. He's definitely a cutie if nothing else so I have no doubt that the ladies will love him. Etan produced this track and it comes to you from his label Etan Music which is a subsidiary of nothing for he stands alone.

The track in and of it's self is pretty good, Im feeling the instrumental more that anything though which was also produced and created by Etan himself. Im posting the video of the original song but I HAD to put up the instrumental as well because it is hott as HELL! Enjoy!

Where Have All The Flowers Gone [Heather B]

UGC Music Blog, PA - Born Heather B Gardner, rapper Heather B hit the scene on TV all over America by way of MTV's  The Real World: New York. That was the very first season of The Real World hit reality show back in '92' I believe.


Hailing from Jersey City, New Jersey, the now 40 year old Heather B was one of only two African Americans on that show at the time. The other was roommate Kevin Powell, poet and writer extraordinaire.


Heather B says she's a rapper first, and even on the show it was nothing to watch the camera's follow her into countless studio sessions as she prepared for the release of her first album "Takin' Mine" which brought forth several tracks that we all knew and loved, or loved hating. One of those songs was "All Glocks Down"...which I believe, if my mind serves me correctly was released in 1994. But no one really took notice until 96 when the Takin' Mine' album was finally released on Pendulum Records.

'All Glocks Down' got some radio play, but it was never put in heavy rotation, I think it only got the support it did because of her association with Boogie Down Productions, but that's just my opinion. About two years later she dropped the follow up single from the same album (see you could do that then and get away with it. lol) titled 'If Headz Only Knew' which I must say got much more attention than All Glocks Down and I thought THAT one was the better song. NOT as good as 'My Kinda Nigga' with M.O.P. though, that was my shiz!!! LOL

"Demolition done, competition none, reputation unsung...." And she was definitely unsung. Think about it. 1996, Lil' Kim is doin' damage and Foxy is on the scene makin' noise at that time too, yet with all this going on we took time to notice Heather B, never mind who liked her and who didn't, we ALL knew her, her body of work and STILL with little to no radio airplay, thanks to MTV & BET (which we watched on the regular.) we felt her presence. She went on to release songs off the 'Takin Mine' album such as 'I Get Wreck'


Heather never really did well on the charts but she did sell records and at the end of the day that's what counts. One year later (1997) she was snatched up by major label MCA Records and in 1998 she released a two track single (my favorite HB song) titled 'Do You'.

Unfortunately 'Do You' was yet another busted track when it came to mega record sales and of course part of the reason was because AGAIN Heather got little or no airplay support. Soooooo, her contract with MCA was dissolved before a full length album could be released. In 2002 she released her second album 'Eternal Affairson' on the Sai Records International label. The album’s only single was the track Live M.C. aaaannnnd....you guessed it, still no love from the people who control the airwaves the song didn't do well BUT it was an underground and club hit.

So what's Heather B doing now, you ask? Well I don't know if you know this but in mid 2010 Heather B released another album titled 'Open Bar' on GIWOM Entertainment and dropped the first single called 'The Game Don't Stop' and since you probably haven't heard the song....well you already know how radio and the press do her given the past history I just told you and if it wasn't for this write up you probably would have never known, so at least this article is serving SOME kind of purpose. Here's the new track:

And there you have it, the quick version of who Heather B actually is. She's more famous for her part in the very first Real World season ever, but she was an aspiring artist way before that. She was heavy on her grind then and she STILL is. I give her props and respect for sticking with it after all these years of being so close but never being able to sit down and breathe in it. I guess she keeps on going because like she said: 'The Game Don't Stop'!!!


I love the track Do You, but I LOVE 'Guilty', because it explains why Heather was never on top, and why she probably never will be. When you don't change into what people want you to be and you stay true to yourself, you get treated with no love...no compromise, because YOU won't compromise, and that's a good thing. Now Im truly lovin this song but let me tell you why....You got Chris Brown on here rappin, which really has me confused because he's no rapper, but I guess he's trying to show his versatility and that he CAN rap if he wanted to....I'on know. LOL But this is like the third track I heard him straight rapping on soooo....Have any of you noticed that he's more on some ol' gangsta shiz since the Rihanna drama? Maybe it's just me. LOL But he's RAPPING now and I mean whole songs of rap now. Im still tryna figure out what that's all about. lol

Okay so you got Chris on here trying to do the best he can and I was ridin with him until he started talking about his lil' ding ding, but that's another story. Closing his verse with "Im Done" Busta chimes in to show him how it REALLY done. Of course he did his thing and left Lil' Chris in the wind....and with the exception of a couple N words thrown in the mix there was NO cursing at ALL from Bussa Buss.

Lil Wayne grabs the mic next and I know a lot of people love them some Weezy, and you prolly gon be mad when I say this, but he turned out to be no match for Busta. He should have been taking notes when Busta tried to school Chris. LOL Weezy tried though so I can't get on him to much.

Bottom line, this is a track of New School meeting Old School and Old School representing and showing them how it's supposed to be done. Honestly, the only one I think of who could have actually HUNG in there with Busta on that track would have been Twista!

Anyway like Chris said, "Im done", just crank your speakers up and listen to the damn track! LOL Oh and don't crank your speakers up if you're at work unless you're wearing headphones because Chris and Weezy BOTH have some nasty azz mouths!
